This exciting collaboration with MB Consult is part of Ahead in Sport’s commitment to developing global relationships with a range of prestigious organisations, such as the Steven Gerrard Academy (SGA).
The flagship SGA programme, based in his home city of Liverpool, England has become a hub site for players who are studying the BSc(Hons) Applied Football Studies degree alongside training and playing in a high-level player development programme.
As part of the programme they recently enjoyed an intimate Q&A session with Steven Gerrard himself, talking about the challenges being faced during Covid-19 and raising awareness of the impact on mental health.
With playing squads across the ages of U17-U23 there will be opportunities for Maltese students, teams and coaches to venture to Liverpool to share best practice while competing in showcase fixtures.
